Salomon: running shoes, apparel and accessories

Born in the Alps, Salomon has become the global benchmark for trail and mountain running. At Boréal Running, discover the brand's full universe: trail and road shoes, renowned hydration vests, technical apparel and poles — gear built to push limits, from the urban park to the most demanding summit.

Salomon shoes

Trail, their home turf

Contagrip outsoles that bite into mud and rock, precise foothold and the Quicklace system: Salomon trail running shoes (Genesis, S/Lab, Speedcross, Ultra Glide) are cut for technical trails and ultras.

Road too

Salomon has extended its know-how to the road with models like the Aero Glide (dynamic cushioning for daily runs) and the Aero Blaze (lighter and livelier) for asphalt training.

Hydration vests and accessories

This is one of the brand's great strengths: Salomon hydration vests (including the S/Lab range) are a trail and ultra benchmark, with a second-skin fit, front pockets accessible on the move and soft flasks included. Explore them in our hydration accessories.

Apparel and poles

T-shirts, windproof jackets, shorts, caps and foldable running poles round out the range. Find Salomon pieces in our running apparel and accessories collections.

Choosing your Salomon size

Salomon often runs slightly snug, especially in the forefoot. If you're between sizes or have wide feet, an in-store fitting is invaluable — our team helps you find the right fit. To shop by use, see our women's trail and road shoes too.

Frequently asked questions

Are Salomon shoes suitable for the road?
Yes. Although Salomon is best known for trail, models like the Aero Glide offer dynamic cushioning designed for the road and daily asphalt training.
How do Salomon shoes fit?
Salomon often runs slightly snug, especially in the forefoot. If you're between sizes or have wide feet, a fitting is recommended — come by the store to confirm the fit.
What is Salomon's Quicklace system?
Quicklace is a sliding-cord lacing system that tightens in one pull, with no knot, and tucks into a small pocket on the tongue. Handy on the trail, where you put on and adjust shoes quickly.
Are Salomon hydration vests worth the investment?
For trail and ultra, they're a benchmark: a very stable second-skin fit, front pockets accessible on the run and soft flasks often included. An excellent choice for carrying water and nutrition on long outings.
Which Salomon model should I start with for trail running?
A versatile model like the Genesis or Ultra Glide is an excellent starting point: good grip, comfort and stability without being too specialized. Our team can guide you based on your terrain.
Does Salomon also make running apparel?
Yes. The brand offers t-shirts, windproof jackets, shorts, caps and foldable poles, in addition to shoes and hydration vests.
