An American specialist in hydration and running accessories, Nathan has been equipping runners for decades. At Boréal Running, discover its hydration belts and vests, flasks and bottles, headlamps and visibility accessories — practical, reliable solutions for road and trail.

Carry your water, no compromise

Hydration belts

The heart of the Nathan range: belts that hold one or more flasks securely, bounce-free, often with a pocket for your phone and gels. Ideal for short-to-medium runs where you want to stay light.

Hydration vests

For long runs and trail, Nathan vests offer plenty of carrying capacity (reservoir or front flasks) with a stable fit. Find them in our hydration accessories too.

Flasks, bottles and reservoirs

Soft flasks, handheld bottles and hydration reservoirs to complement or replace your system, in every capacity.

Seen and safe

Nathan is also a visibility benchmark: LED clips, light-up armbands and headlamps to run safely at dawn, dusk or in winter. Explore them in our visibility accessories.

Choosing your hydration system

The right choice depends on how long you run and your carrying preference. Under 60-90 min: a belt or handheld bottle is enough. Long runs and trail: a hydration vest offers more capacity and stability. To carry your nutrition and keep water within reach, it's the long-distance ally.

Questions fréquentes

Belt or hydration vest: which should I choose?
A belt is enough for short-to-medium runs (under 60-90 min) where you want to stay light. A vest offers more capacity and stability for long runs, trail and ultra.
Do Nathan belts bounce while running?
When properly fitted, no: Nathan belts are designed to hold flasks close to the body and limit bounce. Tighten the strap at the waist and distribute the weight evenly.
How much water should I carry?
For about an hour, 300 to 500 ml is often enough. Beyond that, or in hot weather, aim for 500 ml to 1.5 L depending on duration and access to water points on your route.
Does Nathan also make visibility accessories?
Yes. The brand offers LED clips, light-up armbands and headlamps — handy for running safely at dawn, dusk and in winter, when night falls early.
How do I clean a flask or hydration reservoir?
Rinse with warm soapy water after each use, especially if you put a sugary drink in it, and let it dry open to avoid odours. Cleaning brushes exist for tubes.
Can I put an energy drink in the flasks?
Yes, but rinse well after each run to avoid residue and odours. Many runners keep one flask for water and another for energy drink.
