Which visibility accessory should I choose for city running?
Under street lighting, reflective elements (armband, straps) with a small blinking LED clip are usually enough. The key is being visible from the front, back and sides.
What's the difference between passive and active visibility?
Passive visibility (reflectives) bounces back light from headlights: it only works when a light source hits you. Active visibility (LEDs, lamps) emits its own light and keeps you visible in all circumstances.
How many lumens do I need for evening runs?
About 100 to 200 lumens is enough on lit roads. On trails or unlit roads, aim for 300+ lumens to see the terrain clearly and anticipate obstacles.
Does a reflective vest get in the way while running?
