Men's wide running shoes
Cramped toes ruin the best runs. Our men's wide running shoes, available in E and 2E widths, give your forefoot the room it needs — without compromising cushioning, support or performance. ASICS, Brooks, Saucony, Mizuno and Inov-8 are here, for road and trail alike.
How do you know you need a wide shoe?
The signs are unmistakable: numb or tingling toes, blisters on the sides of the foot, black toenails after long runs, or the feeling that your foot spills over the midsole. Another clue: if you size up half a size just to gain width, what you need is a wide shoe — not a longer one.
Understanding widths: D, E and 2E
D is the men's standard width. E offers slightly more volume, and 2E a noticeably roomier forefoot. Length stays the same: only volume changes, for a natural fit that lets your toes splay on impact.
Our models available in wide
Brooks Glycerin: max cushioning in 2E
The Glycerin (and its GTS stability version) combines plush cushioning with 2E width — a go-to for long distances and comfortable daily training.
ASICS Novablast: dynamic cushioning in wide
New to the wide lineup, the Novablast pairs bouncy FF BLAST cushioning with a roomier fit: a versatile neutral shoe, ideal for daily training and long road runs.
Mizuno Wave Rider: balanced comfort in wide
Now available in wide, the Wave Rider delivers a smooth, stable ride thanks to its Wave plate — a great road trainer with extra forefoot room.
Saucony Guide: stability in wide
The Guide delivers support and comfort for overpronating runners who need more forefoot room.
Saucony Peregrine: trail in wide
Yes, the trail too: the Peregrine brings grip and protection with a widened fit, for feet that swell on long outings in the wild.
A naturally roomy toe box? Think Altra
Beyond extended widths, Altra shoes use an anatomical foot-shaped design that lets toes splay naturally — another approach loved by wide-footed runners.
The fitting makes all the difference
The ideal width depends on your foot shape and stride. Come see us in store: our team measures your foot and has you try the right models. Also explore our stability shoes, trail shoes and all our men's running shoes.
