Targeted support to correct overpronation
Women's stability running shoes deliver support that guides your stride when the foot rolls excessively inward (overpronation). They can encourage a more consistent footstrike, improve comfort late in the run and support a more stable stride — from daily training to the marathon. Discover our Brooks, ASICS, Saucony and Mizuno models, hand-picked and tested by our runners.
What is stability, exactly?
With every stride, the foot naturally rotates slightly inward: that's pronation, a normal shock-absorption mechanism. Excessive pronation can sometimes contribute to discomfort or added fatigue, particularly when the shoe doesn't suit your stride. Modern stability shoes use discreet technologies — like Brooks' GuideRails — that only step in when your stride needs them, without unnecessary stiffness.
Which runners are stability shoes recommended for?
They're for runners whose shoes wear more on the inner edge, who feel ankle or knee fatigue late in runs, or whose gait analysis revealed overpronation. Not sure? Drop by the store: our team will analyze your stride and guide you to the right model.
