Short or compression short: how to choose?

The running short

Airy and light, often with an inner brief, it maximizes freedom of movement and ventilation. Ideal in hot weather and for anyone who prefers a relaxed cut.

The compression short

Fitted and close to the body, the compression short prevents inner-thigh chafing, stays put and lightly supports the muscles. A favourite for long distances, trail and hot-weather running. Many offer side pockets for your phone.

The 2-in-1 short

The best of both: an airy short with a built-in compression liner for comfort and anti-chafe, with no layering needed.

Choosing your running bottoms

Consider length (from short and sporty to a more covering mid-thigh), pockets (thigh side for your phone, waistband for gels) and rise (high-waisted for hold and tummy comfort). Look for technical sweat-wicking fabrics and flat seams to avoid irritation.
