How do I dress for cold-weather running?
Use the layering system: a base layer that wicks moisture, a mid layer that insulates (long-sleeve top), and a windproof or waterproof outer layer. Dress as if it were about 10°C warmer, since effort warms you fast.
Which fabrics are best for running?
Technical synthetics (polyester, nylon) or merino wool, which wick sweat and dry fast. Avoid cotton: it holds moisture, chills you and causes chafing.
What's the difference between running clothing and regular sportswear?
